The Canadian Advanced Health Center has been in Toronto, Canada since early 1990s. The Center provides a new type of Health Recovery Mode. The establishment and development of the Center is not a coincidence, it is the result of the exigent needs for health of people and is the product of this era. The modern lifestyle of the 20th century has created gigantic benefit, it has also brought with it many negative consequences to our health. The incidence of many deadly chronic diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, autoimmune diseases and obesity has increased dramatically. Because the vast scopes of these problems, it is difficult for the Western medicine to cover all areas. The Western medication may be effective in treating illnesses in some ways, it may cause some side-effects for patients as well. It was because of the deterioration of the living environment and the serious challenges our health is facing that inflamed the founders of our Center the desire and determination to search for new mode of healing and ways to achieve wellness. In order to reach these goals, they have absorbed fully the research findings of modern life science and the essence of traditional Eastern and Western medicine, investigated thoroughly the nature of life and health as well as their relationships between natural ecological environment and social ecological environment, ultimately they formed a complete set of unique and scientific health concepts, culminated in the creation of the Revitalize Theory. This theory includes not only the essence of modern and traditional medicine, but is also blended into with the latest research results of modern energy medicine, functional medicine, environmental medicine, and nutrition. The Revitalize Theory has been further enriched and improved in the clinical practices of the Canadian Advanced Health Center.

The Fundamental Difference in Recognizing Sub-health State between the Chinese and Western Medicine Many people suffered from cancer and could not feel it. Once the diagnosis was established, it was too late to treat. Many patients lost their life for stroke. They did not feel the warning message. Many heart attack patients did not aware the insidious body message long before the dreadful events happen. Therefore, catching the early message to prevent serious illness is our goal. The best doctor is able to treat the non-sick, but not only a fire-fighter. How do we know if we are healthy or not? In daily life, people obtain messages with their five sense organs, how we feel. For our health, we describe our symptoms, also get information by signs examined by doctors and various physiological and pathological data and lab tests, such as: blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, lab chemistry tests, ECG, X-ray, ultrasound, CT etc. All the information is needed to judge the status of disease or health. If some of the above findings are abnormal, one will be defined as sick. While the findings are normal, well be classified as not ill and therefore no treatment to the situation, but why we still feel not right. Are these indeed all in the mind? These we call sub-health or sub-clinical state. Revitalize Theory The Revitalize Theory is a set of unique recovery mode formated by theCanadian Advanced Health Center based on the consistant study and summary of the results of modern scienfic research as well as long term health and wellness practices and explorations.. The key elements include: 1). Our human body has the inherent power of self-recovery. A organism with normal and healthy metabolism can be protected from cancer and other degenerative diseases. 2) The development of cancer and other degenerative diseases are due to a variety of harmful factors which lead to the impairment or the destruction of the self-healing ability of the body. 3) Mobilizing all positive factors, comprehensively restore the self-healing ability of the body are crucial to the conquest of cancer and other chronic diseases. Fighting Body Pollution Cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, autoimmune diseases and other chronic diseases are modern-society plaques. The epidemiological investigation showed that one in three North American people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime, one in ten people in the world are suffering from diabetes, and heart disease alone contributes to one third of all global death! Researchers demonstrated that body pollution with variety toxins are the major cause of these human diseases. There are three sources of toxins: exogenous toxins, endogenous toxins, and a combination of both toxins. The exogenous toxins are from the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the medical drugs we take, and the chemicals we use. Nutritional Immunology New concept of health science Nutritional Immunology The human body is constantly at war. Over 90% diseases are related with the dysfunction of immune system, such as cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis, autoimmune disease, like lupus etc, allergy etc.. Everyday the immune system defends against innumerable threats to our health. But the ability to ultimate win the war against illness and disease is in our control. We have the best defense known to man the human immune system. What Is Immune System? The immune system encompasses almost every system of body. Tonsils, lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, thymus, appendix and intestinal wall are the organs that control and produce our immune response. The immune system is a complex network that regulates our physical and mental wellbeing.

A grant for nearly $1.37 million will allow Coastal Family Health to expand its electronic warehouse, adding four more centers to a shared database.Seven federally qualified medical offices are part of the states Health Center Controlled Network, a group of health centers that has banded together to exchange information. The grant is one of 18 totalling $27.8 million awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services to implement electronic health records and other health information technology innovations. The money is part of $2 billion allotted to the departments Health Resources and Services Administration under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.The money is to be used to expand health-care services to low-income and uninsured people through its health-center program.Broad use of health information technology has the potential to improve health- care quality, prevent medical errors and increase the efficiency of care provision, said David Blumenthal, national coordinator for Health Information Technology. This program supports the departments overall efforts to assist physicians and hospitals in adopting and becoming meaningful users of health information technology. The Health Center Controlled Network has established ways to meet administrative, information technology and clinical quality objectives, said Chuck Clark, the networks chief information officer and IT director for Coastal Family Health.Coastal Family Health, with its nine offices Coastwide plus four mobile units, will share a medical database with 10 other centers around the state, Clark said. This sharing allows Coastal Family Health patients access to their medical records at any of the other offices in the Mississippi Primary Health Care Association that are in the network, which is especially beneficial following a weather-related evacuation. It makes their records more portable, he said. The network includes two data centers, a primary center in Hattiesburg and a secondary center in Birmingham. If something happens to the primary, the secondary is up and running, Clark said. The upgrades and additions should be complete next summer. This is the second technology grant Coastal has received to expand the health network in the state, said Chief Financial Officer Katherine Hill. A grant received several years ago paid for the database for the initial seven health centers, she said.Coastal Family Health, a 501c nonprofit, provides health care and social services to all persons regardless of economic status. Almost 31,000 patients used the center last year, Clark said.

The decision was condemned on Friday by the Connecticut State Medical Society, which expressed concern that the takeover harms competition and leaves health care consumers little protection. In July, UnitedHealth and Health Net announced the deal, worth more than $500 million. United has confirmed that the deal does not include the nearly 1,000 workers Health Net has in Connecticut, with the vast majority in Shelton, but has not discussed potential job losses. United employs nearly 4,000 in the state. One of the issues the medical society raised Friday was that United is buying the right, but not the obligation, to re-enroll Health Net’s customers in its UnitedHealthcare insurance coverage.”United has snuck in the back door in an unprecedented transaction by purchasing only the renewal rights of Health Net customers. We hope they will offer insurance to all of Health Net’s current policyholders,” said Matthew C. Katz, executive vice president of CSMS. “Time will tell whether the company uses its muscle to continue to raise premiums. Now, they won’t need any approval to do so. By purchasing the renewal rights to contracts, they can double their rates and cherry-pick commercial contracts, and there’s not a thing state regulators can do about it. The Department of Insurance has made it clear by this decision that they value insurance companies over patients and physicians.”"We appreciate the Connecticut Department of Insurance approving our application to acquire Health Net of Connecticut, confirming that the transaction meets all state regulatory requirements,” Daryl Richards, UnitedHealthcare’s public relations vice president in Hartford, said in an e-mail. “If fully approved by the other states, we will work to ensure a smooth transition process for members, physicians, hospitals, and other health care professionals. We look forward to advancing the health and well-being of Health Net’s members through affordable, quality health care options.”The Insurance Department will require the companies to file regular updates for the next two years. Health Net is to maintain accounts with its employees through 2010 under the terms of the acquisition, which will close later in 2010.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now that that’s over, Congress is back in session, and the Senate is tackling the health care reform issue. One of the things that is being discussed in reforming our health insurance system is allowing people to buy insurance plans from other states where they might be able to find less expensive plans. I’m not sure how this is supposed to work, and here’s why.One reason the cost of plans is lower in some states than is others is the number of mandated services a health plan is required to cover. The more a plan is required to cover, the higher the cost of coverage. For example, California has 56 required services that each plan must cover. By contrast, Idaho has 13 state mandates. We aren’t at the top of the list by any means; Virginia has 60 mandates and Maryland has 66. Want to check out what kinds of things are mandated, click here.Another area that needs to be addressed is how physicians and others are paid. HMO plans in California tend to be more expensive than PPO plans in the individual market, but you have lower out of pocket costs when obtaining care on an HMO plan. (The opposite is usually true in group health insurance.) The reason this can be is through very specific networks of contracted doctors. Most people know that you don’t have coverage if you go outside the HMO network unless it’s an emergency. So maybe you just don’t offer HMOs between states. But PPOs have networks too. If you see a contracted doctor you are covered at a higher level than non-contracted doctors. So if you are in California and buy a plan from Kansas, would you always be covered at the lower reimbursement rates? Larger carriers like United Healthcare and Aetna have networks in most states, but what about the smaller, regional carriers without networks in other states? How would that work?Another aspect of provider payment that affects premiums is how much providers are paid. Care in some states is less expensive than others, so how do you pay providers in the ‘expensive’ states versus the less expensive, and what will that do to the cost of insurance in those states where lower costs of care are factored into the cost of insurance? You could still end up with the problem of some people being ‘under insured’ depending on how reimbursement is worked out.So be careful what you ask for, you may gt it. The more you want covered in a plan, the more it’s going to cost. Just remember the old marketing adage, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
